Disk devices on or connected to the computer still do not work. When idle, they are inactive and PingHD helps you keep them running. It does this by writing test data to disk at regular intervals. This prevents automatic sleep.
PingHD is a simple tool used by users with older computers and disks, for example, to keep them running and prevent potential downtime. It is available in a version that does not need to be installed.
