The Basilisk Browser is a modern Internet surfing tool designed to keep older Firefox features. Similarly, the design and functionality are similar to Firefox. It is based on the Goanna layout and rendering engine, built on the XUL platform.

Basilisk Browser is primarily designed as a developer tool, which means it will never be directly completed and will be in beta. Occasional bugs and minor fluctuations are therefore appropriate. But developers are trying to make the product as stable as possible, with a modern environment and great features.

The browser supports scripting, WebRTC, CSS v3, HTML5 and font download. Also supported are all NPAPI plugins such as Java, Unity web player, Media plugins, Authentication plugins.
